Itz4U - free offers? Yes really!

FREE SOFTWARE! As most people are aware, PCs can and do crash! This often results in big problems and lost data, settings etc. In the list below, you'll find a number of FREE programs, including some that make backing up so easy & prevent lost data!

To download any of these programs to your PC, just click your LEFT mouse button on a pink underlined link. A 'File Download' window will pop-up. Select 'Save this program to disk', then click OK. In the next window, click the down arrow at right of the 'Save in:' box & choose a location (suggest you use C:\Windows\Desktop) to save the named file - note the name for finding it later! Click 'Save' & you'll hear a beep when done. Downloading is quick, as all the files offered are quite small.

After downloading - double click the file you downloaded. In the window that pops-up, you can either use the folder name in the white box, or click on 'Browse' and then choose a folder on your hard drive, where the file will be prepared & ready for use.

- AutoReg - backs up just the Registry files - vital if doing any Registry editing

- ClearDox - a tiny program that deletes the history list of Documents viewed

- DirPrint - creates a text file of all your folders, ready for print-out

- HDcopier - program for duplicating your main hard drive, to a partition or another drive. Ideal if you're upgrading to a new & bigger hard drive - retains all your files etc.
