My name is Ian Clarence and I've been a wargamer and boardgamer for many many years. During that time I've written my own rules, modified and improved others and created, run and taken part in all kinds of games big and small.

    On this website I intend to provide some of the materials I have collected which I think other wargamers may be interested in.

    Alas, many wargamers today will not recognise any of the games I know and love. Others will not be interested because they aren't by Games Workshop.

    Never mind. There are plenty of web sites catering for those kind of gamers.

    This website is for the others. Those who know what S&T and SPI stand for.

I'd just like to say that in the week or so since I started this website I have received quite a lot of e-mail (much more than I expected). I am very encouraged, both by the fact that there are still real wargamers out there and by the comments people have made about the site. Thank you all.

30/05/02:
I've just posted a major update to the "Defence of the Reich" BLUE MAX module. My rule that only good quality, well tested material should go on the site has delayed this update for quite a while.

I've also deleted lots of the "coming soon" pages because I've realised that, in most cases, the work involved in preparing the material is out of all proportion to the interest there is in it.

If you are reading this then you will also know that the web page has moved to a new ISP (and my e-mail address has changed).I'd like to say this is because of the huge amount of traffic it's getting (but that would be a lie). The truth is my old ISP withdrew the service I was using and the alternatives offered were not suitable.
