11th June - Barnsley Minors League Division 2 - Fixture 4
The fourth fixture in this seasons Barnsley Minors competition took place today at Chapletown Swimming Baths. There were some good performances as again Morley just managed to pip Rotherham Metro to first place on the day. |
| 3. | Chapletown | 454pts
|

12th March - New Date for Leeds and District Championship Gala 2.
Due to refurbishment work scheduled to be carried out at Armley swimming pool, we have been notified that the Leeds & District ASA Championship Gala 2 has had to be re-arranged for May 24th, 2000. This means that gala 2 will now take place after gala 3. All other dates remain the same.

4th February - More News on Airedale & Wharfedale Galas
Due to the numerous number of requests committee members have received in respect of the Airedale & Wharefdale galas, the matter was taken up for a second time at this evenings monthly meeting. As a result of the discussions it was agreed that the club would support the event and that members could submit their entries to Morley ASC officials at the Leeds International pool on Monday evenings. A fine example of the club listening and responding to the wishes of the membership. Visit the events page for details of the galas.
25th January - News on Airedale & Wharfedale Galas
At a meeting held last week, committee members reluctantly agreed that Morley ASC would not be entering swimmers in this years Airedale & Wharfedale galas. The decision was taken after it came to light that many of the Airedale dates clashed with galas that Morley ASC had already committed to. It was therefore felt that on this occasion Morley ASC would be unable to raise enough interest to fully support the Airedale event.
23rd January - Barnsley Minors League Division 2.
The opening fixture of this years Barnsley Minors League saw some fine performances and a number of swimmers making their debuts for the club in this meet. Morley ASC finished a creditable 2nd, in what proved to be a closely fought contest, at Askern Swimming pool. With 3 more fixtures to come, this years competition looks like being very interesting. The final result on the day was :- 1st Rotherham Metro (137pts), 2nd Morley ASC (131pts), 3rd Chapletown (121pts), 4th Askern (106pts).
