Right on the northern fringe of the old London Transport Country Area lies Hitchin. LT worked south towards Stevenage and London, south-west to Luton and east towards Letchworth, much as Arriva The Shires still does today. But northwards was the preserve of Birch Brothers and United Counties. Now Stagecoach works that way, to Bedford, with the Mars Bus routes. I caught Dart 34834 north from Hitchin to Ickleford on route M2 on 4th September 2009. The very helpful driver even paused from pulling away at Ickleford while I got my shot. Thanks!
Last Week: Arriva London's Dart/Alexander ADL66 on W14 at Edmonton Garage, Thursday 22nd October 2009.
If you want one of the previous pictures you will have to e-mail me for it!
(Polite requests are preferred. I send one set at a time, and expect a confirmation that it has been received: it does not seem sensible to post out several Mbytes in one go, when some people have size limits on their e-mail inboxes.)
A list of year 12's pictures is here. If you would like to use any of them, again please e-mail me.
