Welcome to the site

The images on the following pages are from our Sea-to-Sea (C2C) cycle ride across the beautiful and spectacular country of the north of England.

We rode from west to east, starting from the Irish Sea at Whitehaven in Cumbria, and ending at Sunderland and the North Sea; a distance of about 140 miles. We did it over five days.

The route is maintained by Sustrans, as part of the UK National Cycle Network. It mostly follows minor roads and off-road trails.

The climbs over the fells of the Lake District and Pennines were tough, but we gritted our teeth and never once pushed or walked: the rewards were amazing downhill rides!
