INGESTRE PROGRESSIVE RIDING AND STABLE MANAGEMENT TESTS (IPRASM)

Our lessons are structured around progressive development using, in the beginning, INGESTRE PROGRESSIVE RIDING AND STABLE MANAGEMENT (IPRASM) Tests. These tests go from level 1 to level 6. Students who gain level 6 will have covered all of the sylabus for the British Horse Society Stage One Riding, and Horse Knowledge and Care Certificate, which they can then apply to the BHS to sit if they require once they have reached the age of 14 years.

These tests are designed to be a pathway towards the BHS Stage one qualification, which is the first rung on the BHS professional qualification ladder.

IPRASM Tests go from level 1 Riding and Level 1 stable management through to level 6 riding and level 6 stable management. The riding tests may be taken seperately from the stable management tests.

The riding content is covered in regular lessons, as is the stable management for levels 1 to 3.We arrange specific lessons and courses to cover the stable management for tests 4 to 6.

IPRASM tests are not compulsory, although we actively encourage all Riding Club members to participate in the scheme, and most group lessons will focus on test objectives.

Each test is made up of "competence objectives". Once all of the competence objectives within a test have been completed and signed by a coach, a badge and a certificate will be awarded.

At level six there are additional units that can be taken, and badges gained.

Level one riding and stable management is taught in normal lessons, and competence objectives can be signed off by any Ingestre coach, including student coaches.

Levels two to three, riding and stable management is taught in normal lessons, and competence objectives can be signed off by any junior coach or higher.

Levels four to six riding is taught in normal lessons, and competence objectives can be signed off by any senior coach.

Levels four to six stable management will be taught on specific courses which will include assessment by a senior coach.

An IPRASM folder, (pictured) complete with all test sheets for all levels will cost £7.50 each which will include certificates, once any individual test is completed. As an introductory offer folders ordered before February 14th will cost £5 each. To order a folder please ask at reception, or click here to buy online

Cloth badges will be available to go with each certificate, at extra cost.

Clients may gain competence objectives in any order, and from any level of test, there is no need to complete one test before starting to complete competence objectives from another.

A certificate will be issued once all of one test has been completed.
