Tim Downes FBHS

Ingestre

Joint owner Tim Downes is a Fellow of the British Horse Society, a List 2A Dressage Judge and a 4* international 3 day event judge. He is a Chief Assessor for the BHS and an FEI Olympic Solidarity trainer. He regularly conducts clinics in Ireland, Scotland, Hong Kong, New Zealand and in the UK. At Ingestre he takes Private lessons by arrangement, and is sometimes available to teach Group lessons on week day mornings for exam students.

Mark Ramsay BHS II & SM

Having ridden as a child at Ingestre, Mark trained here as a 16year old, gaining his BHSAI, then left to gain experience on other yards. Following a brief sabatical he returned, gained his BHSII and stable managers certificate and now is responsible for delivering student training and coaching members and clients. Mark is studying for his Equitation & teaching exams.

Leigh Spencer BHSII

Leigh trained for and gained her BHSII certificate at Ingestre. She is currently available for lessons whilst here to prepare for her BHS Stable Managers certificate. Having spent some time coaching in Hong Kong, Leigh is hoping to further her international coaching career following this period of study.

Giovanni Mereu BHSAI & St. 4

Giovanni is from Italy where he has competed his own horses. He has recently gained his BHS stage 4 certificate and is currently working towards his Intermediate Teaching certificate. Giovanni enjoys his involvement with the young horses and competing. He is available for private lessons by arrangement..

Andrew Bennie BHSI

Andrew is an international 3 day event rider who has represented his native New Zealand in two Olympic games. He has produced numerous horses to advanced level and is much in demand to coach event riders. Andrew is available for lessons by arrangement. See more about Andrew here.

Laura Owen

Laura is currently studying for her BHSAI, having learned to ride at Ingestre as a child. She regularly competes with school pony "Victor". Laura is available for "Student Teacher" lessons.

Rob Lovatt FBHS

Ingestre

Joint Owner Rob Lovatt is also a Fellow of the British Horse Society, and a Chief Assessor. In 2010 Rob was made an Honorary Fellow of Lancashire University for his commitment to vocational training within the equine industry. Rob teaches at Ingestre Private lessons by arrangement, group lessons week day mornings for exam students. Group lesson Thursday 6:00pm all standards above Stage I. Rob also teaches clinics in various parts of the UK, and in Bejing and Shang Hai in China.

Sasha Niccolls BHSII

Sasha is yard supervisor and also is the main teacher on Sundays. She teaches private lessons by arrangement. Sasha is very involved in helping paralympic riders, and is currently helping riders prepare for London 2012. When not at Ingestre, Sasha spends time with her own horses on Anglesey.

Alex Hulme BHSII & SM

Alex works part time coaching students for BHS qualifications and is available for private lessons

Lesley Hagerty - Receptionist

Ingestre

Responsible for Reception and assists Tim & Rob with the accounts, and any word processing that is needed. Also processes the livery, dressage and horse trials systems that she has written for Ingestre. "I am a retired computer systems manager who likes to be around horses.

Liz Mann - Staff Restaurant Manager

Ingestre

Responsible for the preparation of dinner for students and their general welfare and running our Coffee Shop which is provided for students, clients, their families, and the general public. "When I started work at Ingestre, I little realized my customers would come from all corners of the world. This makes an enjoyable job very interesting. The stables are over 100 years old with lots of character and makes more people interested in the surroundings as well as the equine residents."

Vicky Brady BHSAI

Ingestre

Vicky shares the receptionist tasks with Lesley, she also is available for private lessons by arrangement. When Liz Mann is on holiday she also helps in the staff restaurant.

 

Emma Rowe

Ingestre

Emma Has recently joined the team, having just completed a degree at Hartpury College. She is now training for her BHSAI and hopes to go on further with her coaching qualifications. Emma is available for "Student Teacher" lessons.
