Full Time Students

We try to offer flexibility in our training, in cost, hours per week and length of course.

Working Students
The structure of the yard dictates that at any one time we will have 10 places for working pupils at Ingestre Stables.
All working student places are subject 1 one week's trial on the yard - no cost no pay.
During the week's trial, all potential students will live, work and train with other students, they will be assessed as to suitability and length of time required to achieve their goal.
All students receive 8 hours specific training to for the exams they wish to take, together with 24 hours supervised skills practice.
For one day at the weekend and one night in the week there will be a vacancy for them to work in the riding school.
The rates of pay for this part time employment are at least the minimum wage
All working pupil must sign a student contract of at least 12 weeks duration.
If a working student requires accommodation, then full board is available at no cost to the student.

Assisted Students
We have 4 assisted student places.
Assisted student places are based on a 4 day per week basis, All students receive 8 hours specific training to for the exams they wish to take, together with 24 hours supervised skills practice..
All assisted student places are subject 4 days trial on the yard.
During this trial, all potential students will work and train with other students, they will be assessed as to suitability and length of time required to achieve their goal.
If a vacancy is available for any part time work at the weekend or evenings, then this will be offered to an assisted student. The rates of pay for this part time employment are at least the minimum wage
All assisted students must sign a student contract of at least 12 weeks duration.
The cost of training will be grant aided to assisted students.
If an assisted student requires accommodation and it is available, it will be provided at the rates shown below

Paying Students.
Paying students are those students that do not fall into the above categories. i.e. they do not wish be full time on the yard for practice skills, or the number of hours training required exceeds 8 per week,, or they do not wish to commit to 12 weeks training.
These are based on cost of required training.- example of costs for 8hrs training per week - other hours can be offered at pro-rata rates
Up to BHS Stage III and PTT. per week £ 133
Up to BHSII per week £ 180
If a paying student requires accommodation and it is available, it will be provided at the rates shown below

Accommodation - Accommodation is available at the centre for full time students only, Cost per week shared £50., single room £75, This includes all meals in heated accommodation.

Contracts - All contracts will be tailored to suit the individual. Contracts will run from the agreed start date until the date of the student passing their final examination, upon which the contract will expire., Contracts will all have a termination clause for use by both parties.

Holidays - Students may elect to miss training to take holidays as per contract.

Horses - We have a large selection of horses available for students use. Students who are working towards their BHSII are encouraged to "adopt" a school horse and to participate in extra training and competition. We also offer student livery places subject to limited availability.
