Call for Papers

Developing and implementing successful IT solutions to healthcare problems requires a strong synergy between those working in the National Health Service, academia, industry, and patient/public groups. MMIW 2001 aims to bring together these groups in a unique environment which will enable the four parties to discuss their requirements, priorities and concerns. Leading experts from these four areas will present on a variety of pertinent topics, whilst proffered paper sessions provide an opportunity for all four groups to voice their opinions.

  • Mobile computing in healthcare
  • Meeting the needs for patient/public groups.
  • Health on the internet · Telemedicine
  • Social and organisational issues
  • Standards
  • Trends in the NHS
  • Professionalism

Papers:
Papers (approx. 2000 words) or posters (approx. 400 words) may be submitted in any of the above topic areas. Alternative topics are welcome, including Electronic patient records, decision support, nursing informatics, evaluation etc. Papers accepted for oral presentation will be published in the Health Informatics Journal.
