Marhamchurch Youth Club

There was a section on this page about starting a Youth Club in the Bray Institute, and seeking helpers and equipment.

That Youth Club is now a reality and had its first drop-in session (for 10-16 year olds) in the Bray on Friday 1st December.   For futher information, please contact Jon (361443) or Sue (361642).

Parish Plan

As at end November, the independent data processor had completed entering the reponses from the (over 540) collected questionnaires.   The next big task for the Parish Plan volunteers is to start analysing the responses.

Many of the questions provided space to respond in your own words.   The task is now to code those responses, question by question, to obtain some quantitive information (as well as the detailed information provided by the individual answers).

Other volunteering opportunities

The Parish Plan questionnaire had a full page (page 17) that identified possible volunteering opportunities.   In part, the aim was to identify areas where there was enough support to start a project; in other areas the possibilities already existed.

Where there is support for a new initiative, this will be taken forward at the 2007 Exhibition.   Page 17 also suggested a way of volunteering earlier by providing your names and details and interest area separate from your questionnaire.   Some took advantage of this and they are being contacted.
