Here is some basic information on shipping costs and payment options for auction items you may be interested in.
I charge only the actual postage costs, and no extra "packing" or "handling" fees, etc.

For U.K. bidders:Payment is accepted by cheque or postal order. For small amounts, cash or current mint stamps are also accepted. Cash is sent at your own risk however, as I cannot be responsible for any problems with the mail service! I can also accept payment by electronic funds transfer directly into my account. Electronic payments from the UK are welcome using FastPay, NatWest's system - (just add 20p per payment to cover the fees).
For postage, the amount will of course vary depending on the weight of the item(s) to be shipped. I will be happy to combine several lots together to be mailed in one package to save on costs.
The basic charges are: 28p 1st class or 21p 2nd class up to 60 grams, and 42p 1st class or 35p 2nd class up to 100 grams. For recorded delivery, add 65p. Special delivery is also available (insured, next day delivery) at £3.75 up to 100 grams. Pour les acheteurs Francais:Le paiement est accepte par cheque tire sur une banque Francaise. Pour de faibles montants, des especes ou timbres neufs sont egalement acceptes. Cependant les especes sont envoyees a votre risque, puisque je ne peux pas etre tenu responsable pour d'eventuels problemes d'acheminement du courrier. General note:
The postal services generally do a great job in handling the mail. Occasionally, however, items do get delayed, lost or damaged. That has fortunately been a very rare occurence in my experience, with only one lost and one damaged package so far! I do my best to package items securely, and document each package sent, but I cannot be held responsible for any problems with the postal services. In the unlikely event of a problem, I will process the paperwork needed to request compensation from Royal Mail. For your protection, however, I do recommend that you choose recorded delivery or special delivery for more valuable items...
