The photograph shows a neolithic
burial chamber known as "Llech y Dribedd" which translates to "Tripod Stone". built around 3-4000 B.C., situated near Penlan Farm.

The coastal promontary forts of Pencastell and Castell Treruffydd were well defended Iron Age settlements (1000 b.c.),
protected by the sea and sheer cliff faces.
