Witches Cauldron

The Witches Cauldron is a short walk south along the Coastal Path from Ceibwr. This is an unusual and spectacular geological feature.A gigantic "cauldron" has been formed in the rocks, connected to the open sea by a narrow arched tunnel. This is a very fine example of a collapsed cave, enlarged by weather and wave erosion.

Apart from the magnificent scenery experienced at and around Witches Cauldron, there is a terrific diversity of plant and animal life.

The Grey or Atlantic Seals are often seen swimming in the coastal waters and occasionally they can be seen on the shore.

The Razorbill which is the emblem of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, is found in large numbers along the North Pembrokeshire coast. The cliffs are host to a wide variety of sea birds. During the breeding season there are many nesting colonies.
