Sponsored by British Steel plc, I designed and produced twenty of these trophies for the
WhatCar magazine, Car of the Year Awards 1997.

The main body of the trophies were machined from
solid billets of steel . The polished pattern was chosen, due to its' historical use on automobile dashboards.
The particular trophy in the image above was applied with a coloured lacquer, to distinguish it as the overall
winner, Car of the Year, presented to Renault;
The other trophies being left uncoloured.
