This 1947 sailing bill shows the cheap cost of the trip from Southend to Margate, by which the owners hoped to undercut the General Steam Navigation Co and thus tempt passengers away. The late entry into service is indicated by the overstamp in the top right hand corner of this handbill. The delay proved fatal for her owners and insufficient revenue was generated to enable her to continue for the next season. For more information please see the main Lady Enchantress page.
