Who are we, where are we from, where are we going?

I am an addict to Classic Video Games and I hail from London. I am now in my thirties and remember the good old days in the arcades, local chippy or wherever.

My first High Score was on a Space Invaders Cabinet in a service station at The Severn Bridge back in the eighties trying to impress my then girlfriend. Looking back on it she probably wasn't impressed at all.

As a hobby I started to learn how to create WebSites. While surfing the net I was amazed at how many sites there were dedicated to Classic Video Games. So I thought, why not create my own site dedicated to the games I remember most fondly.

With the advent of MAME and other emulators the games of our youth have been reborn and a new generation can appreciate the quality and craftsmanship that went into original video games.

You can keep your Getaway and Grand Theft Auto on The Playstation 2, give me the Classics, they win everytime. Nearly every modern game has its roots in Classic Video Gaming.

This site is meant as a celebration of a subculture which is now mainstream. It celebrates youth in the late seventies and early eighties, a unique time in history that I am glad I lived through.

Where are we going? To level 6 on Scramble Baby!
