Gargoyle Records is the Janison Edge record label. It was created originally to release the Janison Edge debut album by the two founding members of Janison Edge, Sue Element and Mike Varty. They put a lot of thought into whether they should release the album themselves or whether they should accept offers from other record labels. They finally decided to form Gargoyle Records because they had invested so much time and energy into the band so far that it was difficult to take the decision to 'hand over' the album to anyone else. So, Gargoyle Records was formed in October 1998, just about when the mastering of the album was done. This was the first duty of the record label, and was also where the major investment started!
