"The Services of Mary Goode" was released on 1 February 1999. The album was two years in the making and comprises 9 songs totalling almost 65 minutes of music. It is released by Gargoyle Records in the UK and distributed worldwide. Although not a concept album in the traditional sense, Mary Goode is a character who provides a common thread throughout the album. She leads the listener to places she shouldn't have seen........

The album was recorded at Gargoyle and Thin Ice Studios (home of Clive Nolan and Mick Pointer's Verglas), produced by Mike Varty and mixed and engineered by Mike and Karl Groom (Threshold), and mastered by Chris Blair at Abbey Road studios in London. The reviews have been extremely good from all over the world and the band have been delighted with the response so far. Some samples from the reviews can be found in the first Newsletter and on our Reviews/Quotes page.

The artwork for the album was conceived and designed by Sue and Mike. The cover painting is an excellent and faithful interpretation of their ideas by Surrey artist Jane Bryan, who put up with fortnightly "guidance" visits from Sue to produce this stunning piece (small version above - the full [painting is over 1 metre wide). Posters are available by popular demand (see merchandise page).
