Music has always played an important part in my life, mostly listening but sometimes playing. In my late teens I played the drums for a rock group with Cream/Led Zep. influences (Ah those were the days!). Nowadays things are a little more sedate and I play occasional guitar in a ceilidh band.

I still like listening to all sorts of music ranging from folk through blues, cajun, zydeco to rock. I must also mention my favourite local band The Winchesters who play a fine blend of Western Swing/Blues and are well worth going to see. They play mostly around the Manchester, England area and if you get to see them I will guarantee you will have an excellent evening. Fairport Convention, the greatest folk/rock band ever (IMHO) and still going strong, 30th anniversary in 1997
Richard Thompson, the mans a genius, a bit dark at times but I think he is the best.
