Derby acoustic trio BBK play a unique blend of acoustic blues, country and jazz. The trio worked together from 1997 to 2002. They all have a long pedigree in the music world:

harmonica player Beeds was a founder member of R. Cajun & The Zydeco Bros. and an expert on the works of Leadbelly and Gus Cannon;

lead guitarist John Kemp played with ZZ Birmingham's Blues Band, but first performed live on the folk scene in Brighton back in the mid-seventies. He has an enduring passion for country music, not necessarily shared by his companions;

guitarist Dave Bradley is a graduate of the folk and blues circuit, and will be familiar to many from that scene. He is also noted for his ever changing collection of "budget" guitars, and his "jokes".

All three of them sing, and bring their own particular tastes and influences to the band. The material includes songs from Jesse Fuller, Leadbelly, Hoagy Carmichael, The Grateful Dead, Hank Williams, Robert Johnson, Buddy Holly, and Bob Wills among many others! Together they offer a refreshing combination of playing and singing styles, and a wide range of songs from laid-back ballads to good-time blues.
