Gareth Williams was the youngest member of the band when he joined ZZ in 1994; before that he had played rhythm guitar with top Burton blues band Duke la Rue. Appearing at major festivals and supporting artists like Joe Louis Walker helped him appreciate the wide spectrum of blues music. When offered the job with ZZ Birmingham, he jumped at the chance......and is still jumping!

Taking his unorthodox self-taught style, and using his experience as a guitarist, Gareth helped transform the band into a tight, driving and powerful team.
A featured vocalist and trumpet player on the CD, and with further features at gigs, Gareth had a feel for the songs that only the Blues can give you, and a unique taste in shirts!

In January 2001 he was made an offer he couldn't refuse, and moved to Pwllheli, North Wales, where he attempted to educate the locals in The Way Of The Blues. He is now back in the Midlands, still playing in bands while pursuing a career in the motor trade.
