The 1997 Season

June: Dundrod "ISO" Road Race - Big End went - DNF.
August: Mid-Antrim "ISO" Road Race - 7th.
August: Nutts Corner - Race 1 = 5th; Race 2 = 7th

The 1998 Season (250cc Irish Short Circuit Championship)

April: Nutts Corner - Race 1 = 4th; Race 2 = 3rd
April: Nutts Corner - bent valve - DNF
May: Aghadowey - Race 1 - Sticking throttle - DNF; Race 2 = 4th
August: Monaghan Road Race - 4th fastest in practice 67.106 mph, then big end went.
October: Aghadowey short circut - Race 1 = 2nd place, however a broken ring saw Nigel borrow a K4 from his friend Pete Matthews to compete in race 2 where he came in with another 2nd place (to the same Suzuki mounted Courtney Junk as in race 1). Pete Matthews is the sponsor of the Leonard Enfield and the Honda K4 - he lived in Texas for 20 years and raced in the late 60's early 70's with Kenny Roberts Snr and co.

Nigel finished 7th (out of 15) in the short circuit championship on a total of 82 points.

The 1999 Season

The RE didn't get an outing until late in the season. Regular rider, Nigel Moore also races a 1998 RS 125cc Honda, and it was during practice at the North West 200 that he took a spill, putting himself out of action for the rest of the season. (He'd been sandwiched between Robert Dunlop, Ian Lougher and Chris Palmer when he got hit from behind and smashed his ankle and lower shin against a kerb.) Leading up to the spill, aboard the RS125, he'd had the following results: 10th and 9th placings at Aghadowey and Kirkistown short circuits; 2nd to the late Owen McNally at Cookstown "100" Road Race, beating the Dunlops; 6th at Tandragee "100" Road Race; 6th at Nutts Corner.

Alternative pilots for the Leonard Enfield were found for the Aghadowey Halloween event in mid October. John Scott and Phillip Riddall shared the Leonard Enfield and a Rocket 3. John won his race on the Rocket and was lying 2nd on the Leonard Enfield (in the 250cc class) when he had to retire with a leaking gasket. Phillip, during his race, was also lying 2nd on the Enfield, but again had to retire due to the same problem, but like John, he had a good result on the Rocket, coming in at 2nd.

The 2000 Season

Anita Buxton from Ware, Herts rode the Leonard Enfield at the John Hall memorial Races, Nutts Corner on 30th April with a DNF in both races (rocker block came loose).

Nigel was re-united with the Enfield for the August Monaghan Road Race, sadly though, due to two fatalaties, the meeting was abandoned.
