Jill Bays studied as an illustrator at Guildford School of Art and worked in advertising as a typographer and visualiser. She now spends her time painting and teaching, having studied for a post graduate teaching certificate and a BA with the Open University. Writing has also played a part in her career - there have been several books on watercolour - "The Watercolourists Garden" and "Flowers in the Landscape" and the "Drawing Workbook" all published by David & Charles. | ||||
| Her work encompasses many subjects, although she is probably best known for her studies of plants and flowers. To this subject she has brought a welcome freshness of style. Her seemingly undisciplined form of composition, when looked at closely, hides a superb feel for design and order. | |||||
Jill
has had various exhibitions in the South of England. |
