THE COUNTY GROUND, BRISTOL

The County Ground in Bristol is 1.1 miles from Junction 2 of the M32, 2 miles from Brisol Temple Meads station and 1.5 miles from the centre of Bristol.

To get to the Ground from Junction 2 of the M32:

  • Leave motorway at Junction 2 and travel east along the B4469 - Muller Road
  • After 1 mile turn left up Ralph Road opposite the Bus station
  • At the top turn left then first right
  • Turn first left and you will see the gates to the ground.

From Temple Meads Station:

Either:-

  • Catch train from Temple Meads to Avonmouth/Severn Beach (train runs once an hour in each direction)
  • Get off at the third stop: Montpelier Station
  • Now 15/20 minute walk to ground:
  • Cross over the railway by the footbridge and follow ally way to the top
  • At the top turn right, cross over the road (Cromwell Road) and go right shortly followed by a sharp left (Belvoir Road)
  • Go first right (Chesterfield Avenue) and then left at the T-junction down Chesterfield Road
  • At the bottom of the hill turn right at the T-junction and continue straight on along Effingham Road
  • After St. Andrews park on the right go to the top and at the T-junction turn left along Sommerville Road and then first right along Upper Belmont Road
  • Go straight on (road becomes Kent Road) and follow the road around
  • The gates are on the right

Or:-

  • Catch the number 8 or 9 bus to the centre and get off next to Debenhams
  • Go down the steps, across the roundabout and up the steps on the opposite side
  • Go under the arch to the bus stop and catch a number 75,76 or 77 and get off at Nevil Road
  • Walk up Nevil Road (about 300m) and you will see the gates
