Mark Alleyne and six other members of England's one day squad who are not already in South Africa will fly out earlier than had been planned.

Alleyne will be available for selection in England's three day match against a South Africa Invitation XI starting on 9 January. The Gloucestershire captain has not given up hope of representing England in a Test match and a good performance if he plays could bring him in contention for the fifth Test which starts on 14 January.

The one-day tournament involving England, South Africa and Zimbabwe starts on 21 January with England's first game on 23 January.
