ENGLAND SUFFER SECOND BATTING FLOP

Mark Alleyne played for England in their third Standard Bank Triangular Tournament match which they lost to Zimbabwe after a dismal batting display.

Zimbabwe elected to bat and got off to a good start. Alleyne made the first breakthough and then followed it up with a run out. England restricted Zimbabwe to 211 and Alleyne finished with figures of 1-30 from seven overs.

England never got going in the reply and Henry Olonga ripped though the top order. Alleyne himself again disappointed with the bat as he lasted 13 balls before being caught behind for just 4.

England were soon bowled out for 107 falling 104 short in the 35th over.
