Gloucestershire's new signing Imraan Mohammed, son of former Gloucestershire player Sadiq, has recently completed a successful season of first-class cricket in Pakistan.
Imraan Mohammed has signed a one year contract after playing for Cambridge University for the past three summers.
The opening batsman has been playing as an overseas player for Pakistan Customs and recently scored 210 not out against Gujranwala in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy - his highest first-class score. He passed fifty on three occasions. Sadiq Mohammed played nearly 200 first-class games for Gloucestershire, scoring 12,012 runs. He witnessed Imraan's first two performances at close quarters as he was umpiring the matches. He gave his son out caught behind on both occasions. Imraan Mohammed averaged 88.25 in his five innings from five games during the season. He also played in one one-day game when he scored just 2. He bowled one over of his off-breaks in one game.
