Gloucestershire's overseas player, Ian Harvey, was selected for his country's 4th ODI in New Zealand.
Harvey was yet to play in the six match series after Australian captain Steve Waugh tipped him to make his mark.
Australia batted first and raced to 189 without losing a wicket. Harvey came in at number five and struck 19 off 20 balls before his was trapped lbw. The team, unbeaten in 12 games made 349 off their 50 overs.
New Zealand batted well but were always chasing the game after losing a wicket in the first ball. Harvey bowled all of his ten allotted overs and bowled the last overs at one end to finish with 0-52. New Zealand reached 301 but were unable to prevent Australia's record breaking run of wins. |
