Gloucestershire have been given a second chance to defend their NatWest Trophy title after the ECB ruled that there should be a replay after Worcestershire fielded an ineligable player.
Kabir Ali should not have played in the third round tie after he played for Worcestershire Board XI in the first round of the competition.
The ECB took nearly a week to make their decision after Worcestershrie requested a personal hearing. The replayed match will take place on Tuesday 4th July at Worcester with the winners taking on Leicestershire in the forth round the following day.
The replay cannot take place any earlier as Worcestershire's Graeme Hick is playing for England until Monday. |
