Six Gloucestershire players played for a First-Class Counties Select XI against New Zealand 'A' at Campbell Park in Milton Keynes.

Mike Cawdron, Jeremy Snape, Chris Taylor, Matt Windows, Rob Cunliffe and Jon Lewis joined five players from Kent who also had the week off.

The match was abandoned as a draw when rain ruined the final day with FCC XI on top chasing 102 to win at 40-2.

There were several good performances from the Gloucestershire representatives including 10-74 in the match from Mike Cawdron who broke his personal best in the first innings with 6-25.
