Gloucestershire's sponsorship deal with Merchant Investors Assurance has been extended for a further two years.

The Bristol-based company became Gloucestershire's main sponsor ahead of the 1999 season and paid a six-figure sum over two years. This deal, for the 2001 and 2002 seasons is the biggest in Gloucestershire's history.

Merchant Investors have got good value for their investment over the last two seasons thanks to Gloucestershire's cup runs.
