Gloucestershire have become the first ever side to do the domestic one-day treble in England.
Local rivals Somerset were the only challengers and needed to win their final two games to have a chance of taking the title. However, they lost away at the holders Lancashire under floodlights to comfirm Gloucestershire as champions of the Norwich Union National League Division 1.
The result means that Gloucestershire win the One-Day League for the first time in their history and become the first side to win the three one-day competitions in the same season following their NatWest Trophy and B&H Cup wins. Gloucestershire play their final game at Bristol against Northamptonshire on 17th September when they will be presented with the cup. |
