GLOUCS WANT HARVEY BACK IN 2001

Gloucestershire have conifirmed that they want Australian international Ian Harvey back next season as their overseas player.

Harvey has played a significant role in the five trophies that Gloucestershire have won over the past two season and the two parties are in talks.

Harvey is likely to be selected for the NatWest Series next summer between Australia, England and Pakistan, with one match at Bristol. The series runs from 7-23 June so Harvey would miss about as much as he did when playing in the recent Super Challenge 2000 indoor matches against South Africa.

However, if Harvey was selected for the Ashes squad with his knowledge of English conditions and good first-class form especially with the ball, than Gloucestershire would have to look elsewhere.
