RUSSELL SETS OFF WITH ENGLAND SQUAD

Jack Russell has joined the rest of the England squad to fly to Dhaka in Bangladesh for the Wills International Cup which starts on October 24.

Russell is the only wicketkeeper in the 14-man squad which is captained by Adam Hollioake. None of the players are in the Ashes squad but coach David Lloyd is travelling to Dhaka.

All the test playing nations are taking part in the competition and every game will be played in the Dhaka Stadium.

England play an exhibition match against Bangladesh on October 23. Their first match in the competition is on October 25 against South Africa. If they win they will play Sri Lanka, New Zealand or Zimbabwe in the semi-finals.

England cancelled plans to play warm-up games in Calcutta against Bengal and India A and are now going straight to Dhaka.
