Courtney Walsh has captured the much coveted 'Unofficial Gloucestershire CCC Web Site Player of the Year Award'.

He captured just short of 50% of the vote as Mark Alleyne took second and Tim Hancock took third. What better incentive could there be for Walsh to sign the contract he has been pondering for several weeks?

Walsh was the leading wicket taker in the country with 106 wickets. The top three in the batting averages came second, third and fourth with Alleyne claiming second thanks to his excellent captaincy.
