1st XI coach John Bracewell has signed a two year extension to his contract with Gloucestershire. The deal will keep him at the club until the end of the 2001 season.

The former New Zealand test bowler led Gloucestershire to their highest championship finish since 1986. A big difference from previous seasons was the improved team spirit.

Having no experience of county cricket meant that he could bring a fresh approach to Gloucestershire.
