Gloucestershire may withdraw their offer of a two year contract to Courtney Walsh.

The 36 year-old has given no indication of whether he intents to sign since he was offered the contract in September.

The main reason for a withdrawal would be that Gloucestershire will be needing someone to replace Mark Alleyne's batting if he is selected for England's World Cup squad which would rule him out of much of the summer. Shaun Young would be a likely candidate if Alleyne was not available.

Gloucestershire are also said to be frustrated at his apparent lack of commitment to the club.
