ALLEYNE LEADS ENGLAND ATTACK

Mark Alleyne took three wickets and made 18 runs but was unable to stop a Sri Lanka victory in England's latest match.

Alleyne was selected for the match as England have already qualified for the finals of the triangular series. After a rain delay, Sri Lanka made 181 off their 44 overs. Alleyne was by far the best England bowler taking 3-27 giving away just three runs an over.

However, England were unable to capitalise on Sri Lanka's collapse and were always slipping behind. Alleyne came in at number seven and made 18 before being dismissed. He was the third highest England scorer.

England went on to lose the match by 11 runs. They have one match left before the best-of-three finals.
