Gloucestershire's signing of Ian Harvey has been put in doubt after the announcement of Australia's World Cup squad.

Harvey was surprisingly included in Australia's 19 which will be reduced to 15 on March 24. He is yet to sign for Gloucestershire and they have a clause allowing them to pull out if Harvey is selected for the World Cup.

If Harvey is involved in the World Cup then Gloucestershire will sign Shaun Young or Andrew Symonds. There is surely less pressure on the batting line-up after Alleyne was not selected for England so Young looks the better option.

Elsewhere, Courtney Walsh was not included in the West Indies squad but that's a different story.
