Mark Alleyne has been named in England's one-day squad to go to South Africa next winter.

Alleyne thought his international chance had passed him by and was surprised to be named in the squad.

England will take part in a triangular series with South Africa and Zimbabwe, playing three matches against each with one final. They squad of 15 will then travel to Zimbabwe for four more one-day interationals against them.

The first match is against South Africa on January 23.
