Ian Harvey's first century for Gloucestershire in the last PPP healthcare County Championship game of the season has improved his chances of being offered a contract for next season.

Harvey has been instumental in helping Gloucestershire's to two trophies this season but his disappointing batting performances and injuries that have kept him out of 6 championship game this season mean that the renewal of his contract is not a certainty.

If the county are relegated to Division 2 of the National Cricket League then it could be the end for Harvey at Gloucestershire but his century against Kent will improve his chances.

Gloucestershire are expected to offer contracts to Tom Cotterell who made his first-class debut this season and batsman Imran Mohammed.
