After recently being named Gloucestershire's official player of the year, Jack Russell scooped the Unofficial Gloucestershire CCC Web Site player of the year award.

36-year-old Russell took 39% of the vote and finished ahead of Mark Alleyne and Tim Hancock.

Russell's wicketkeeping was superb all season and he batted brilliantly, particularly towards the start of the season. His performances in the finals - his first at Lord's - completed a wonderful season.
