The Gloucester Cricket Festival has been given one more chance or it will be abandonded after the 2000 season.

The festival makes a loss and last season the crowds were very disappointing. It has been given one more chance with a County Championship match with Worcestershire and a National League game against Lancashire. If crowds are again small and there is little interest from sponsors then the festival will not continue.
