Gloucestershire captain Mark Alleyne hit 37 not out for a First Class Counties XI against South Africa in a 50 overs-per-side game.

England coach David Lloyd was watching the game with next year's World Cup in mind. This comes after Alleyne was selected in a 37-man squad picked in the build up to the competition.

Alleyne got 37 not out and bowled seven overs without taking a wicket as the First Class Counties won on the Duckworth-Lewis method.
