FLOODLIGHTS COMING TO BRISTOL

The Sunday League clash with Somerset in late August is set to be played under floodlights.

Day-night games were first played in England last season and they have been successful in the southern hemisphere. A match at the county ground could attract many new supporters. The match on 24th or 25th August would start around 5pm and go on until around 10pm. The floodlights would cost around £5,000 to install with electricity bills on top of that. It looks certain to go ahead as long as planning permission can be obtained.
