NATWEST DRAW MADE

The draw for the 1999 NatWest Trophy has been made with 60 teams to compete for the FA Cup of cricket.

The 18 First Class Counties, Recreational teams from 38 counties plus Scotland, Holland, Denmark and Ireland will be going for a place in the final which will be played a week earlier that this season on 28 August.

The winners of a first round match between recreational teams from Durham and Oxfordshire will play Staffordshire in round two. The winners of this match will then host Gloucestershire in the third round. It is likely that if Gloucestershire win that match, they will play last year's finalists, Derbyshire, at home for a place in the quarter finals.

The early round dates are:-
Round One: Tuesday 4 May
Round Two: Wednesday 19 May
Round Three: Wednesday 23 June
Round Four: Wednesday 7 July.

Every recreational side reaching the third round gets a home tie against first-class opposition. Denmark are playing in the competition and Holland get their first home match.
