Gloucestershire will have to wait until next week to hear of Courtney Walsh's decision on whether he will sign the two-year contract he has been offered. If he signs at the end of the season it will mean that he will not be able to play for the West Indies in the World Cup next summer. Walsh recently made it to 100 first-class wickets for the season by dismissing Chris Tolley to put Gloucestershire in a strong position against Nottinghamshire. He is the second player to reach the landmark this season after Andy Caddick completed the feat against Kent for Somerset last week. It is the second time Walsh has achieved this in a season. He took 118 wickets in the 1986 season. | |||||||||
