Shiva

Shiva is the biological son of
Amina and Ahmed Sinai
but he is switched with Saleem at
birth by Mary Pereira. He
winds up in poverty while Saleem grows up in relative
wealth.
Shiva is in many ways the 'dark double' of Saleem. He has a certain streak of violence which Saleem fears. His special power is his extraordinary ability to use his knees for a variety of purposes - including killing. He is connected by his name to the Hindu god Shiva |
