GETTING THINGS UNDER WAY PAGE ONE

The Team had five great performances to do. The first show is normally on Wednesday. In order to be ready for the lights and sounds for the show we had a lot of work to do.

The first task was to run cables for speakers. microphones and music instruments from one end of the hall to the stage end of the hall. Each cable was about 45 meters long.

We had 10 speaker cables 5 each side, 10 microphone cables and two cables for music instruments.

Colin and Tim
Mike In total about 1,000 meters of cable. The lights are already available in the hall, one job less to do. 10 Speakers however did have to be hung up and two speakers put on the stage for the cast to be able to hear the music.

The next job was to build a tower at the end of the hall, seen above to house the team. Sounds on the bottom and lights on the top. This was done so that we had a clear view of the stage over the heads of the audience.

Most of this work was carried out on the before the equipment was put in place after the new year.

Microphones were hung over the stage, 6 in all. With microphones available off stage and 2 microphones on stands at the front.

A camera was also put up for the cast to see what was going on in the dressing room. More cable! yes more cable.
