Curious South Cheshire
THIS video - available in PAL and NTSC
format DVDs -takes a look at some of the
more unusual items to be found in various towns and villages in South
Cheshire.
These include: A third castle on
the Cheshire Plain; a summerhouse that was built as a ruin; the
place of worship with 10 Green Men and 12 church mice; a house covered
with images of people who "wronged" a local man; the grave of a
cricketer who played in the first "Ashes" cricket test match; and a water bowl for canine
rail travellers.
The video features
curiosities in Acton, Audlem, Barthomley, Bickley, Bunbury,
Cholmondeley, Crewe Green, Hargrave, Marbury, Mow Cop (with Rode Hall),
Nantwich, Peckforton, Sandbach, Shocklach, Stapeley, Wrenbury and
Wybunbury. Also Crewe Station and the Old Coach Road.
It costs £10 and runs for approximately 52
minutes. It is in colour and 4:3 ratio. PAL and NTSC formats. (See

All proceeds are for the
restoration fund of
St Mary's Parish Church,
Nantwich.
